I took a poetry test on the 4th grade level. I think this would be an excellent way for 4th-12th grade students to improve their reading and math skills and prepare for Dakota Step Tests. The test was easy to navigate and essential skills for succeeding in reading. This site is definitely not one I would use in my first grade classroom. I will pass it on to the 4th-6th grade teachers in our building since I think it would be beneficial to their students.
I also checked out the career site. I read the e-book about firemen since so many of my first graders say they would like to be a fireman when they grow up. The information was well organized and very informational. I think this would be very helpful for someone trying to decide which career they wanted to pursue.
Thanks for your comments, Cinders. Yes, Learning Express is for Grades 4 and up, so thanks for passing on the information. You obviously can see ways that you can use it as a teacher to help your youngsters. :)
